Customer Reviews:

Going for the gold. Give that Sony designer a Bud.5
[What distinguishes the pictured phones from the Sony MDR-ED21LP phones, rated a "best buy" by the top consumer magazine? Frankly, after comparing both--specifications and empirically--I'd have to say about five bucks. Both phones have 16mm drivers, as big as you'll find in bud-style headphones. Perhaps the Ed12's are a bit "louder" (i.e. gaudier). The Sony website indicates that the Ed12's are no longer being made. I'd take that as all the more encouragement to pick up an extra pair.]

I’ve just compared these Sony’s, currently going for less than ten, with 3 other low-priced headphones, using audio from a uncompressed CD played on a decent home stereo system as a reference point. The differences, admittedly, are minimal, highly dependent on the preferences of the user as well as the conditions of use. Because these Sony’s, unlike the other phones, are not intended for deep insertion in the ear canal, they’re probably not the phones of choice if noise isolation-for example, in an airplane with the jet engine running-is desired. But in a quiet setting, they came closest to matching the sound of the CD as played by a stereo rig costing over a thousand. The highs and lows were never boosted at the expense of the mids, which were warm, unforced, inviting.

The currently highly popular JBuds Noise-Reducing Ear Buds, for just under 10, were also exceptional for their nice fat mid-range sound. However, the sound seemed somewhat forced compared to the Sony’s, and soon I was tiring of the sound of even Getz’ tenor saxophone. The Skull Candy INK’D definitely had the younger, moving’ and groovin’ rapper in mind. The sound was aggressive from the start, with Tony Williams’ cymbals coming right out of the chute. Though the thinnest-sounding of this group, they’d still perform well enough to satisfy most tastes. The well-reviewed Altec Titaniums also produced an impressively full and balanced sound, though the heavy, cloth-covered cable can present problems to the listener with smaller ear canals-unless he’s OK with hanging on to the phones with both hands.

The Sony’s use a 16mm bass driver, whereas 10mm is quite standard. But since this type of phone doesn’t produce the tight seal of inserted ear phones the bigger driver with “extra deep” bass is practically required to achieve a balanced, realistic sound. It’s unfortunate if Sony’s hype leads some users to expect nothing but ground-movin’ groovin’, because the phones are unlikely to open fault-lines in your current digs.

Nothing too relevatory-except that you don’t have to spend more than ten to get adequate earphones. And in some cases, the neglected models (such as these Sony’s) are, at the very least, the equals of the hottest items being sold on Amazon.

Possibly the Best Earbuds5
I personally have several pairs of headphones and earbuds ranging in several prices and brands. As far as I can tell, Koss makes the best headsets, even better than the Bose ones in my opinion, BUT these Sony earbuds must be the best earbuds I have ever owned.

1. They have excellent sound quality that I haven’t really seen in many earbuds.

2. They stay where they are suppose to be, in the ear, but not really IN the ear like most earbuds, these earbuds slide into the outside of the ear and barely go into your canal, leaving little to discomfort.

3. They have bass built in, but not obnoxious bass, so you can enjoy music the way it was intended.

Find this Helpful, then hit yes!

Love them!5
I hate ear buds! These are the most comfortable I have ever used! I can wear them all day no problem. The flexible design will fit any ear comfortably. They sound great too! Highly recommend them!

InFocus N21024
I bought this for the classroom. This projector was easy to connect and use straight-away. It does seem to run hotter than the school’s Dell projectors. I am completely satisfied with its price and performance.

Customer Reviews:

I don’t understand the bad reviews on this product5
#I just purchased this phone a couple of days ago so this review might be premature. I have read a quite a few reveiws that trash this product and I just do no get it.
I purchased the ( well loved by all)Panasonic KX TG1033S CORDLESS PHONE SYSTEM. I must admit that it is a good phone but not perfect as the reveiws would have you beleave. The volume is low and there is no way to completely shut this phone off and still receive messeges.

I bought the GE-28112EE3 a couple of days ago and I am very tempted to keep it over the Panasonic. Note-From the reveiws I have seen on this phone it is like I bought the best one somehow.
This unit is louder and a little more clear than the Pany. It has a far superior range (where the Pany cuts out this one keeps going) and it has a do not disturb button on the base which silences everything while answering your calls. On the Pany you can only silence the ringer and the messsage still blurts out through every handset.
A cople of things that could be better is if the lighted keypad lit up the keys and not the area around them. Also it uses battery packs which cost allot more than just buying individual batteries and it does not have the Energy Star Aproval.
Oh well-I hope to hear more reviews-I have to dicide which phone to get within a week.
Brian

Update- My reveiw was definatly premature. The Caller ID funtion on this phone wil only work on two handsets and sometimes only on one. This is my second phone for I returned the first one for the same problems. Hanset #3 had extream static on it this morning possibly because maintenence was using power tools. I like all the other features on the phone and I was sad that I had to return it but I gave it two tries. Probably staying with the PanyKX-TG1033S.
Brian

Fantastic phone5
Even though I didn’t purchase this phone through Amazon, I wanted to share my opinion.
It is an excellent phone, no problems with static, service, sound.
Love the fact that on the extra phones, all you do is plug it into an electrical outlet….no phone outlet needed.

Dangerous for your ears1
This is the worst phone I ever had. There are so many downsides, for example, you can’t sort the phonebook by alphabet or search for entries. You always have to go through the numbers 1-50. The volume is too low and there are only 4 steps of volume control. Further the “exit” button and the star(*) button are the same. Who designs something like that? You can’t even save the forwarding to voicemail or your cellphone in the phonebook this way.

But the worst feature ever is yet to come. If the battery gets low the phone warns you with a very loud beep. Not through the speaker on the back - it beeps way too loud right into your ear. The fact that the overall volume of the other side of the line is low makes you push the phone close to your ear - so when the battery beep comes you can hear it even louder. I had hearing loss because of noise before and I know how it starts. If you experience these loud beeps more often so close to your ear you can easily hurt your eardrums.

A major design flaw like this should be enough to take this piece from the market. I can’t imagine how a company like GE can build something like that. This phone allone has dramatically reduced my perception of GE as a quality producer.

Works great5
I ordered this lamp (with housing) for my DLP HDTV, and it works great. However, only 3 weeks later, the lamp indicator light came on and a message popped up saying that the lamp was nearing its end-of-life and a replacement should be ordered. For a while, I thought the lamp was faulty, but I eventually realized that I forgot to reset the lamp hours through the TV setup menu when I replaced the lamp… oops.

Mitsubishi DLP Lamp5
Price was right and shipping was fast. I would buy from this seller again. ***** Five Stars

Mits replacement bulb and housing.3
Great delivery service and the part works, but there seems to be a delay in lighting the bulb. The picture slowly get brighter. The original bulb didn’t seem to take as long to get to full brightness.

Customer Reviews:

Lacking range2
Product works if you’re within range which seems to be 50 yards, you might have to hard wire to make all functions work.

mighty mule fm136 wireless intercom ketpad2
I just purchase this system. I returned it the next day.
The intercom doesn’t fuction properly using it wireless.
We have a 300′ foot drive (straight driveway, no curves)the unit did not operate as advertise. “Crystal clear up to 500 feet”
We experimented with shorter distances. the unit was audible within 30-40′ range. The gate never opened, with the command to open botton.
May work with wire, untested.

Wireless Intercom/Keypad3
I have been using this system for about a year. I use it to control access to a security gate(man-gate) in front of my home. The gate is located about 50 feet from the intercom unit. The intercom unit plugs into house power. The gate unit works off of a small 12-volt rechargable battery. I use an inexpensive solar cell array I purchased from Harbor Freight to recharge the battery. The alternative is to use the provided charger which requires 110 house power. The system works ok but one issue has made it difficult for visitors and me to use. The chief issue is that the intercom does not release the gate latch. It merely makes it possible for a visitor to press any key on the touchpad to release the lock. So you can’t open the lock for someone. You have to push a botton and then tell the visitor to press any key over the intercom. Also the intercom does not enable the system unless someone calls on the intercom. So again you can’t use the intercom to egress. Consequently you need a key or another button to open the gate from the inside. You will need some basic mechanical and electrical (handyman)skills to install the system. If this is not you than pay someone to do it for you. Also the volume at the keypad is good but the volume at the intercom is low making it difficult to hear your visitor.

From the Manufacturer
The fm136 wireless intercom/keypad is a versatile intercom system that allows for clear communication between a driver requesting entrance to the property, and a resident inside the property. The fm136 allows the user to communicate with the driver, grant or deny access, and open the gate from within the house. The system is ideal for any residential application, and it alerts you to the identity of visitors from the safety of your home. The intercom provides superior range with crystal clear two-way communication up to 500-Feet wireless, or up to 1,000-Feet direct wired. Comes with outdoor call/keypad unit that can be programmed with up to 25 entry codes for keypad access. The fm136 also comes with an indoor base unit that is mobile and can be used anywhere in your home just like a cordless phone. Rechargeable batteries allow for operation even during power outages. Multiple base units available separately for use within the home (maximum of 4).

Pyle PLAM2300 amp5
This amp pounds my Audiobahn 121T subs. The price is crazy low and the power provided is clean and more than enough for my subs which can handle 1000 watts a piece RMS. I ended up selling the 12’s, but the amp I kept for a new system I’m building. It doesn’t put out 2300 watts, but it was healthy enough power to push two 12’s. It’s a good buy if you want an amp that fits a budget.

pyle 2300 watt amp5
amp is good but only has 150 rms watts @ 2Ohm so what it get what you pay for

solid amp4

purchased this amp for my brothers 03 S10 P/U and more that enough power to pus 2 12″ pyle subs(also from amazon).
Sounds great and hits hard enough for him. Don’t think this will be good enough for competition, but for average Joe is great.

Awesome!5
Let’s face it…we are not all clones and look for different features when it comes to an MP3 player. I wanted a small, portable player for the gym. The FM Radio feature is what I have been hoping for for a very long time! I don’t need apps. I don’t need to surf the web. I need to play my tunes. Genius is a great way to create a mix for the gym. The fitness tracker is incredible. And finally I can tune in to the TVs in the gym. Love it! This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for. Perfect device for my needs.

Very cool, handy and sleek new toy — but don’t throw away your Flip yet!!4
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3GCL7CCLCHZCY When Steve Jobs announced the newest generation iPod nano, he suggested that with its new video capability the nano would easily compete with the Flip Video camcorder. While someday down the line this may be a serious contender in the pocket video camera market, it’s not there yet. I took some comparison footage with the iPod nano and the standard definition Flip Mino to show why. My point in all this is not to suggest that you go buy a Flip instead of an iPod nano, but that you ask yourself what it is you really want. If you want to make videos you can upload to Youtube and you want them to look pretty decent, and you don’t care much about music or you already have an mp3 player, I wouldn’t buy this iPod just because now it has video. On the other hand, having some video capability might be enough to give this the edge over most other music players; if games are more important to you than video, though, you’d be better off with an iPod touch.

One thing you’ll notice in the footage, where I shot the same things back to back with both camcorders, is that where the Flip really shines is in low light. I shot the hamster moments at night, in a room illuminated only by a lamp. Not only did the iPod nano take grainy video, it also didn’t do any kind of white balancing and the indoor lightbulb added an orange tint to the clip; I’m not sure exactly how the Flip is designed to address this (whether it automatically adjusts white balance or just has a better average setting), but the footage shows that it captured light correctly both outdoors and indoors. If you compare the hamster shots with the Flip and with the nano, I think it’s clear that for indoor and lowlight there’s no comparison and the Flip has the nano beat hands down. The outdoor images are closer, but I think even this small video shows greater detail in the Flip video. When you blow the images up bigger there’s no comparison — the Flip looks decent even on a big screen TV, the iPod nano footage looks like it was shot with, well, a toy camera. In all fairness, that’s all it is at this point. (Note, by the way, that, like the Flip, the nano will only take video and doesn’t take photos. You can manually add photos to the nano from your computer, but you can’t use the onboard camera to capture stills.)

Another thing that bugs me a bit about the new iPod nano is the bizarre placement of the camera lens. It’s nestled down in the corner of the backside below the screen — exactly where it is most natural to hold this thing if you are shooting with it. Even if you just grasp the thing at the corners, there’s a tendency for some part of a finger to accidentally edge into the camera frame. In fact, I found that even after I was aware of this fact I kept doing it anyways — the way this thing fits in my hands just makes it likely I’ll catch an edge of a finger in my shots unless I’m conscientious about avoiding it, and that detracts from the spontaneity this is designed to take advantage of. (I even noticed I’d done it on most of the iPod nano footage for this video comparison — and I thought about doing it over, but then decided to leave it in just to show how easily it can happen.)

So, to sum up: what you really get with the iPod nano is a toy camera, fun to have in the pocket and very cool to have just in case there’s something you want to shoot, but not quite the quality we’ve come to expect from the handy pocket camcorders like the Flip Mino and the Creative Vado and the Kodak Zi8, that keep getting better and better. Video is a nice new feature on the Nano, but not really a radical innovation and not a game changer.

What makes the iPod Nano worth it is that in addition to video on the fly, you get to listen to music, you get an FM radio that works quite well and even tells you what song you are listening to, you get a voice recorder (a VERY nice feature, excellent for students who can listen to music on their way to class and then record a lecture), a decent quality mini speaker, a somewhat useful pedometer, decent game options for killing time. You don’t get any of that with the Flip! Sure, the new iPod nano is a toy … but it’s a very cool toy.

Night Time Video Quality5
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1F8Z28QX1WK6O This should give you guys a pretty good idea of the night-time video quality of the 5th Generation iPod nano. The quality isn’t great, but it is really handy when you don’t have a dedicated camera on hand.

Another note is that conversion into a file format that Amazon accepts also degraded the quality slightly. Amazon does NOT accept the MP4 format that iPod nano records in.
